Job Description Electro-Mechanical / Millwright | Home-Based | $30–$35 per Hour Company: Merz Trading Corp. d/b/a B.A.M. Industrial Services Work Location: Home-based with nationwide travel to customer jobsites Company Headquarters: Orlando, Florida Employment Type: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt Pay Range: $30.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications About B.A.M. Industrial Services B.A.M. Industrial Services provides industrial machinery installation and related field services at customer facilities throughout the United States. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Traveling Working Foreman / Site Lead to supervise and perform the installation, assembly, alignment, and relocation of industrial machinery and production equipment. This is a working foreman position—not a desk-based management role. The successful candidate will lead the crew, coordinate daily jobsite activities, communicate with customers, and work alongside the installation team. The position is home-based. The employee will travel directly from home to assigned customer jobsites and is not required to report regularly to our Orlando office. Responsibilities • Lead and work alongside installation crews on industrial machinery installation projects., • Plan and assign daily tasks based on project schedules, drawings, and jobsite priorities., • Install, assemble, dismantle, relocate, level, align, anchor, and modify industrial machinery and production equipment., • Coordinate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electro-mechanical installation work., • Read and interpret equipment layouts, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, and technical manuals., • Verify that installations comply with drawings, manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements., • Coordinate machinery moves, equipment setting, lifting, and rigging activities., • Direct the safe use of forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, hoists, and other material-handling equipment., • Conduct daily pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and job hazard analyses as required., • Enforce OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, fall-protection rules, PPE requirements, and customer safety policies., • Coordinate with customers, project managers, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and other trades., • Monitor labor hours, materials, equipment, project progress, and installation quality., • Identify installation conflicts and resolve mechanical or electro-mechanical issues in the field., • Support equipment startup, testing, troubleshooting, punch-list completion, and commissioning., • Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, expense reports, progress updates, and project documentation., • Maintain a professional, clean, organized, and safe jobsite., • Travel extensively and work overtime, weekends, nights, or extended shifts when required by project schedules. Required Qualifications • At least five years of hands-on experience with industrial machinery installation, millwright work, equipment assembly, industrial maintenance, or a closely related field., • Previous experience as a working foreman, lead installer, crew leader, site lead, or similar field leadership position., • Ability to lead a crew while continuing to perform hands-on installation work., • Strong mechanical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills., • Experience installing large industrial machinery, production lines, conveyors, automated equipment, or comparable systems., • Experience with machinery setting, leveling, alignment, anchoring, and mechanical assembly., • Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, schematics, and assembly instructions., • Working knowledge of rigging methods, lifting equipment, and safe machinery-moving practices., • OSHA 10-Hour Construction or General Industry course completion card appropriate for assigned jobsites., • Strong jobsite communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills., • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and remain away from home for the duration of assigned projects., • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record., • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent., • Ability to communicate clearly in English with customers, crews, and other trades., • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications • OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry course completion card., • Trade school certificate, associate degree, or completed apprenticeship in:, • Mechatronics, • Industrial Maintenance Technology, • Electromechanical Technology, • Mechanical Technology, • Automation or Manufacturing Technology, • Millwright or Industrial Mechanic trade, • Qualified rigger or signal person training., • NCCCO/CCO Rigger certification., • Documented training or previous authorization to operate forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, and boom lifts., • Experience with precision or laser alignment, machinery grouting, and structural anchoring., • Welding and fabrication experience., • Experience with industrial electrical wiring, motors, sensors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, or automated production systems., • First Aid/CPR, fall protection, confined-space, or lockout/tagout training., • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating directly with customers. Physical and Jobsite Requirements • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and assist with heavier loads using appropriate lifting equipment., • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work overhead for extended periods., • Comfortable working at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms., • Able to work in active industrial and construction environments that may include noise, dust, heat, cold, and varying weather conditions., • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment. Compensation and Travel • Hourly pay of $30.00–$35.00, based on experience, leadership ability, and qualifications., • Overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and state law., • Travel directly from the employee’s home to assigned customer jobsites., • Company-paid or company-arranged airfare and other approved transportation., • Company-paid hotel accommodations during project travel., • Company-provided rental car when required for the assignment., • Reimbursement of approved mileage and other authorized business expenses in accordance with company policy.
