Job DescriptionJob Title: Equipment MechanicJob Description As an Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on various support equipment including forklifts, generators, deice equipment, fleet vehicles, tugs, golf carts, GSE equipment, loaders, UTVs, and trams. You will also be tasked with repairing and modifying equipment as needed, performing minor welding, and documenting completed work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Additionally, you will use computer systems to ensure adequate inventory levels, diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics, and change out faulty sensors. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of support equipment., • Repair and modify equipment as needed, including minor welding tasks., • Document completed work orders in the CMMS., • Use computer systems to monitor and maintain adequate inventory., • Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, combustion engines, motors, electrical systems, and electronics., • Replace faulty sensors.Essential Skills, • 4 or more years of experience with heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance., • 4 years of experience in hydraulics, motor repair, and electronic component maintenance., • Experience in preventative maintenance, electrical systems, welding, heavy equipment, diesel engines, and schematic reading.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with forklift, fleet, or heavy equipment maintenance., • Experience troubleshooting electrical issues and electronics., • Knowledge of combustion engines and diesel, small gas engines is a strong plus., • Ability to read schematics., • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting various equipment systems., • Experience with motors, belts, and bearings.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work is conducted in a climate-controlled vehicle equipment maintenance shop located near the airport, separate from the hub. The initial shift is from 5:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 10-hour workday. Flexibility for other shifts is required. Dress code includes steel-toe shoes and clothing suitable for a maintenance environment. The company provides safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.78 - $48.04/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
