Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker / ShipperJob Description This role supports a plumbing supply distribution warehouse by accurately preparing, packaging, and shipping orders, as well as assisting with receiving and stocking incoming inventory. You will handle labeling, boxing, palletizing, and documentation to ensure products ship correctly and on time, while helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Responsibilities • Correctly label, box, and palletize products for shipment in a timely and efficient manner., • Accurately complete all shipping paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), to ensure correct products and quantities are shipped., • Cross-reference pick sheets with products prior to loading to confirm accuracy of orders., • Check trailers before loading and unloading to ensure they are safe, suitable, and ready for product movement., • Load and unload trailers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, following safety procedures., • Assist with unloading incoming trucks and verifying received products against documentation when needed., • Assist with putaway and stocking of incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations., • Use basic computer skills to support shipping, receiving, and documentation tasks as required., • Communicate any operational issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns to leadership promptly., • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, including general warehouse housekeeping tasks., • Follow all warehouse procedures and safety guidelines while performing shipping, receiving, and material handling duties.Essential Skills, • Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse environment., • Ability to correctly label, package, and palletize products for shipment., • Proficiency using pallet jacks for material handling., • Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift safely., • Basic computer skills to support shipping, receiving, and documentation tasks., • Ability to accurately read and work from pick sheets and shipping documents, including BOLs., • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance as needed., • Ability to bend, stack, and move boxes while building pallets., • Strong attention to detail to ensure correct products and quantities are shipped., • Reliable work habits and the ability to work a consistent Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment handling plumbing supplies or similar products is helpful., • Prior experience with shipping, packaging, and order fulfillment is an advantage., • Familiarity with forklift operation and warehouse equipment is preferred., • Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment., • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and communicate clearly with colleagues and leadership.Why Work Here? You will work on-site Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance, bending, and stacking boxes on pallets. The role involves regular use of pallet jacks and potentially forklifts, as well as basic computer use for shipping and receiving activities. The setting is team-oriented with a small group of colleagues, and the workspace is maintained to support safe and efficient operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
