ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment to meet product specifications and production goals., • Examine, measure, and weigh materials/products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as scales., • Monitor the machine operations and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions., • Review procedures, work instructions, and work orders to determine materials, settings, and adjustments needed for the manufacture and/or packaging of hearing protection products., • Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, quantities, types, and dimensions of materials used and products produced., • Shut down processes, isolate products, and notify management in the event product fails to meet standards., • Ensure that materials and finished products are moved between storage and work areas using a hand truck or forklift., • Be able to be flexible in work assignments and scheduling as needed. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES • High School Diploma or GED, • 1+ Year experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment., • Mechanical aptitude and simple math skills., • Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, and product specifications., • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. regularly., • Ability to work independently under his/her initiative., • Forklift experience loading and unloading pallets., • The ability to communicate with engineering and management is a must., • PC, calculator, and scale familiarity., • MS Windows Experience.
