Job DescriptionJob Description The Standing Reach Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating a stand-up reach truck to pull, transport, and stage customer orders within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires frequent use of an RF scanner to locate, verify, and process inventory while maintaining accuracy and productivity. Associates will work in narrow aisles, perform order fulfillment activities, and assist with general warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate shipments. Responsibilities • Operate a stand-up reach truck safely and efficiently to retrieve, move, and stage inventory throughout the warehouse., • Pull customer orders accurately according to pick tickets and RF scanner instructions., • Utilize RF scanning equipment to verify inventory, track product movement, and maintain accurate records., • Navigate narrow warehouse aisles while handling materials safely and efficiently., • Stage completed orders for shipment and replenish inventory as needed., • Perform inventory checks, cycle counts, and stock verification activities., • Load, unload, and move products using warehouse equipment when required., • Read and interpret work orders, product locations, and warehouse layouts to ensure order accuracy., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies., • Assist with palletizing, shrink wrapping, and preparing orders for outbound shipping., • Meet daily productivity, quality, and accuracy standards., • Support additional warehouse and distribution functions as assigned.Essential Skills, • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience operating a stand-up reach truck., • Proven experience with order picking in a warehouse or distribution center environment., • Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory management and order fulfillment., • Ability to work efficiently in narrow aisles and high-volume warehouse settings., • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick and verify orders., • Basic computer and inventory tracking skills., • Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions., • Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational accuracy., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Qualifications, • Previous experience in order fulfillment, distribution, or material handling preferred., • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment., • Familiarity with inventory control, cycle counting, and stock rotation practices., • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout an entire shift., • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed., • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.Work Environment, • Majority of the shift spent operating a stand-up reach truck., • Fast-paced warehouse setting with frequent order fulfillment deadlines., • Regular use of RF scanners and warehouse management systems., • Continuous standing, walking, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift. Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse and distribution environment with active staging, loading, and production support areas. The facility is non-climate-controlled, so temperatures can be very hot during the summer. You spend the majority of your day operating a sit down forklift, and may also use reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. The work is physically demanding and involves frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours in a fast-paced, production-oriented warehouse setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garner, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
