The Food Runner position is a high level serving position, requiring full menu knowledge, responsible for timing food delivery. Ensuring the highest quality plating standards. Food Runners are often interchangeable with our Guest Reps. Food Runner earn an hourly wage plus tips. Position Overview: The Food Runner is crucial in maintaining the flow between the kitchen and the dining room to ensure guests receive their meals as promptly and accurately as possible. This position requires an individual who is efficient, detail-oriented, and dedicated to presenting food according to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Position Summary The Counter Server is the first point of contact for guests and plays a critical role in delivering exceptional hospitality. Ensure accuracy and proper packaging for third-party delivery (3PD) and catering orders, including timely dispatch. Communicate offerings clearly, with thorough menu knowledge including ingredients and allergy-related information, to support informed guest choices. Follow established steps of service and operational procedures to ensure consistency and quality. Support baristas and other front-of-house team members during peak times, including runner duties, pulling shots, and assisting with inventory tasks as needed. Cleanliness & Maintenance Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with company standards and Department of Health regulations. Complete opening and closing tasks as assigned, including FIFO practices, sani bucket changeovers, DOH checks, and end of day email correspondence. Food Runner Job Duties: Picks up food product for orders placed by the service staff and delivers the meal to our guests. Assists the kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize our guests dining experience. Sets up the front line with the equipment, plateware, and smallwares needed to effectively serve all food products. Keeps station restocked throughout the shift. Cleans large and small trays and tray stands to be ready for service. Reads order tickets as they arrive and place onto ticket minder. Tracks cooking times on all orders, checks finished product for proper degree of doneness, appearance, and plate presentation.
