Job DescriptionCommercial Carpenter Location: Kingston, NY Pay • Majority of projects are New York State Prevailing Wage projects, offering higher earning potential than traditional construction positions., • Pay is based on experience, project location, and prevailing wage schedules., • Overtime opportunities are available.Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter to join a growing construction team working on commercial construction and renovation projects throughout the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. Projects include schools, municipal and state buildings, office spaces, restaurants, healthcare facilities, and mixed-use developments. This role involves a variety of carpentry duties including metal stud framing, drywall installation, acoustical ceilings, finish carpentry, and other commercial interior finishes. Responsibilities • Install metal stud framing, drywall, exterior sheathing, acoustical ceilings, doors, windows, and finish carpentry materials., • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications., • Perform drywall hanging, finishing, taping, and top-out work., • Complete punch-list items and repair work as required., • Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting project schedules and deadlines., • Follow all OSHA regulations, jobsite safety standards, and building codes., • Work effectively with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on active construction sites., • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.Requirements, • Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience, preferably in commercial construction., • Experience with metal stud framing and drywall installation., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans., • OSHA 10 Certification required., • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications, • Journeyworker-level carpentry experience., • Previous experience on prevailing wage construction projects., • Experience with commercial interior finishes, trim work, doors, and window installation., • Experience working on schools, government facilities, healthcare buildings, or large commercial projects.Why Join Us?, • Consistent pipeline of commercial and prevailing wage projects., • Competitive compensation with strong earning potential., • Stable, family-oriented company offering year-round work., • Frequent overtime opportunities., • Long-term career growth and advancement potential., • Exposure to a wide variety of commercial construction projects that expand your skills and experience.Schedule & Work Environment, • Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 AM., • Overtime frequently available, with occasional Saturday work., • Work is performed on active commercial construction sites both indoors and outdoors., • Must be able to lift, carry, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physically demanding construction tasks throughout the workday.Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kingston, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $78.60 - $78.60/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
