Job DescriptionIndustrial Maintenance Technician's Needed 1st & 3rd $28-32/hr! Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting equipment for defects such as wear and misalignment, determining the best way to make repairs to minimize production interruption, and advising on equipment shutdowns when necessary. This role requires dismantling, cleaning, repairing, replacing, installing, maintaining, assembling, and lubricating mechanical equipment. You will also be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing piping, valves, and fittings, as well as performing basic maintenance on mobile equipment. Responsibilities • Inspect equipment for defects such as wear, misalignment, and insufficient lubrication., • Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize production interruption., • Advise when immediate equipment shutdown is necessary to prevent damage., • Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate mechanical equipment., • Erect scaffolds, hoists, and chain falls as required., • Make temporary or permanent repairs as needed., • Assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts involving piping, valves, and fittings., • Fabricate, install, replace, and repair piping, valves, and fittings., • Operate simple machine tools such as a drill press, pipe threading machine, and power saw., • Perform approved electric and gas welding., • Troubleshoot issues with timers, relays, motor starters, and other electrical components., • Perform basic maintenance on mobile equipment., • Maintain records of adjustments, repairs, and spare parts used., • Lay out and fabricate structural members, plates, pressure vessels, and miscellaneous equipment., • Ensure the job site is cleaned up after job completion and that materials, tools, and equipment are returned to proper storage., • Perform miscellaneous mechanical work required to maintain the plant., • Complete other duties as assigned by management. Essential Skills • Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems., • Experience in maintenance repair, maintenance electrical, and maintenance mechanics., • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues., • Strong understanding of maintenance production processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications • A technical degree is a plus., • Previous experience in a zinc manufacturing environment is a plus. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clarksville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
