Job Description Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler Job Description The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, repairing, and refurbishing robotic parts and machines while supporting inventory pre-count activities in preparation for year-end physical audits. This contract role initially spans six months with the potential to extend or transition to a direct hire for the right candidate. Responsibilities • Assemble, test, inspect, and repair robot electro-mechanical assemblies following detailed work instructions, drawings, schematics, blueprints, and checklists., • Perform mechanical, electrical, and electronic assembly tasks using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments., • Conduct soldering and wiring operations in accordance with provided schematics and quality standards., • Build and assemble machines and subassemblies, ensuring proper fit, function, and adherence to production requirements., • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to accurately execute assembly and production tasks., • Use micrometers and other measurement tools to verify component dimensions and assembly accuracy., • Prioritize safety, quality, and teamwork in all activities, promptly reporting any issues or concerns., • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in compliance with workplace standards., • Accurately record manufacturing and production data using MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software., • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety., • Assist in training other team members on assembly procedures, tools, and best practices., • Support other departments with in-process inspections and material handling activities as needed., • Perform warehouse and inventory duties related to pre-count inventory in preparation for year-end physical audits., • Participate in a one-week assignment focused on inventory pre-count activities as part of the year-end audit process. Essential Skills • Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly of robotic parts, machines, or similar equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics., • Proficiency in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and electronic assembly tasks., • Skilled in soldering and wiring based on schematics and work instructions., • Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a production environment., • Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in assembly, inspection, and testing activities., • Ability to accurately record manufacturing data using MES or similar production software., • Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, and teamwork in a manufacturing or production setting., • Capability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with machine building and machine assembly in a manufacturing environment., • Experience in general labor tasks related to production, material handling, or warehouse operations., • Familiarity with production processes in robotics or advanced manufacturing., • Ability to provide process improvement suggestions to enhance workflow and efficiency., • Experience assisting in training or mentoring coworkers on assembly processes and tools., • Comfort working cross-functionally to support other departments with inspections and inventory-related tasks., • Ability to perform warehouse and inventory duties, including pre-count activities for physical audits. Work Environment This role operates in a modern robotics manufacturing and production facility focused on electromechanical assembly and machine building. You work with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, micrometers, and other measurement instruments, as well as MES software to record manufacturing data. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, requiring you to maintain a tidy and secure workspace. Work includes both assembly floor activities and warehouse/inventory tasks, particularly around pre-count inventory in preparation for year-end physical audits, and is subject to a planned two-week unpaid shutdown at the end of the year. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Salem, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
