Job Description The Senior Supply Chain Analyst plays a critical role in driving end-to-end supply chain performance within a regulated (medical device) environment. This position owns demand and supply planning, inventory optimization, assist with purchasing execution, and supplier performance management to ensure the right product is available at the right time—without excess working capital. Operating at the intersection of Finance, Operations, Quality, Fulfillment, and external suppliers, this role translates forecasts into actionable purchasing and production plans, drives cost reduction initiatives, and ensures disciplined execution across the supply chain. Success in this role is defined by high service levels, accurate forecasts, optimized inventory, zero stockouts, and continuous improvement in cost of goods sold (COGS). Duties and Responsibilities Demand Planning & Inventory Optimization • Lead demand and supply planning processes, translating sales forecasts into finished goods and component requirements, • Establish and manage inventory strategies (min/max, safety stock) across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance service levels, working capital, and obsolescence risk, • Identify and proactively mitigate risks related to stockouts, excess inventory, and long lead times, • Partner with Fulfillment/Operations to reconcile physical vs. system inventory and ensure accuracy Purchasing & Supplier Management • Assist finance team with purchase order creation, tracking, and execution across suppliers and contract manufacturers, • Collaborate with suppliers to align production schedules, capacity, and delivery commitments, • Maintain and drive supplier performance through scorecards (on-time delivery, quality, cost, responsiveness), • Ensure timely follow-up and accountability to support uninterrupted supply, • Support sourcing decisions and negotiations to reduce lead times and unit costs, • Assist Receiving & Fulfillment (both systemically & physically as needed) Cost & COGS Management • Analyze and track COGS per unit across product lines, • Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities across materials, freight, packaging, and sourcing, • Support tariff, duties, and freight forecasting as part of purchasing and planning decisions, • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate cost tracking, classification, and margin visibility Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Fulfillment to align plans and resolve constraints, • Support S&OP / IBP processes through scenario analysis, reporting, and actionable insights, • Coordinate with Quality on supplier performance, compliance, and change management actions, • Act as the operational bridge between planning and execution teams, • Assist Order Entry (systemically) as needed, • Write/Revise SOPs/WIs for all of Operations Team Analytics, Reporting & Systems • Maintain and enhance planning models, dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision-making, • Own regular supply chain reporting (KPIs, risks, actions, performance trends), • Maintain accurate data across ERP/MRP and supporting systems (inventory, POs, vendor records), • Leverage data to continuously improve forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and supplier outcomes Risk Management & Compliance • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies, • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) and internal quality standards, • Maintain documentation and process discipline required in regulated environments Required Experience/Skills • 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, purchasing, or operations analytics, • Experience in medical device or regulated industry strongly preferred, • Strong expertise in demand planning, inventory management, and supply planning, • Proven experience managing suppliers and coordinating production schedules, • Demonstrated success driving cost savings and process improvements, • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks), • Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets Nice-to-Haves • Experience working in a Medical Device Manufacturer and Distributor, • Experience with contract manufacturers and global supply chains, • Familiarity with forecasting tools and statistical planning methods, • Lean / Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement experience, • Experience in high-growth or resource-constrained environments, • Understanding of freight, tariffs, and international logistics, • Ability to understand processes, and write SOPs/WIs for those processes Core Competencies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward action, • Clear, consistent communication across internal teams and external partners, • Ability to balance service levels with working capital discipline, • High ownership mindset with strong follow-through, • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment Education • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field Pay & Benefits Summary • Base: $90,000-110,000, • Medical Vision and Dental Insurance Available, • 401K- discretionary 2.5% employer match, • Basic/Voluntary Term Life Insurance, • Long Term Disability, • HSA Accounts, • PTO Years 1 and 2, 15 days, Year 3 onwards 20 days, • 12 paid public holidays, • Reimbursement for travel(sales) Legal Disclaimer(s) Page Break BioWave is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity and providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities.
