CREATE AN ENGAGING ENVIRONMENT • Plan and implement age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities based on children's interests, developmental needs, and abilities., • Create opportunities for children to explore creativity, STEM, literacy, art, physical activity, and other areas of interest., • Maintain an organized, welcoming, and engaging classroom and activity environment., • Provide opportunities for children to develop independence, leadership, problem-solving, and social skills., • Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and interests of the children in your care.SUPPORT LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT, • Support children with homework, school assignments, reading, and other age-appropriate learning activities., • Encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a positive attitude toward learning., • Observe children's behavior and interactions and communicate concerns appropriately., • Use positive child guidance strategies to support social-emotional development and resolve conflicts., • Encourage children to make appropriate choices and take responsibility for their actions.KEEP KIDS SAFE, • Maintain active supervision of children at all times., • Conduct required head counts and maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios., • Follow all licensing, health, safety, and program requirements., • Maintain accurate attendance and other required records., • Ensure the classroom and activity areas remain safe, clean, and free of hazards., • Follow appropriate procedures for emergencies, incidents, and mandated reporting.BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS Children thrive when the adults around them work together. Compensation: $23-$25 per hour Requirements: Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) • An Associates of Arts or Science (AA/AS) degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field and a minimum of 24 ECE units and a Teacher Permit issued from CCTC. BA Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Master Teacher or higher permit preferred., • Minimum two years’ experience working with School Children (ages 5-12 years), • Good oral and written communication skills, • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects., • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation., • Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things., • Able to resolve conflicts, gentle, loving, kind, creative and resourceful. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people. Excellent problem solving, planning, and organizational skills.Additional Requirements:, • Criminal background clearance with (FBI, DOJ, and CAI), • Complete a physical examination, T.B. test, proof of immunization for (influenza, TDap, and MMR),, • Submission of satisfactory proof of your identity and your legal authorization to work in the United States. If you fail to submit this proof, federal law prohibits us from hiring you., • Mandated Child Abuse Training completed within 14 days of employment
