Class 1 Welder / Fabricator / Plater Stamford, LincolnshireFull-Time | Permanent | Days | OnsiteAre you an experienced Class 1 Welder, Fabricator or Plater looking to work on technically interesting, high-quality fabrication projects rather than repetitive production work?We are recruiting for a skilled Class 1 Welder / Fabricator / Plater to join a highly respected global engineering manufacturer based in Stamford.This is an excellent opportunity to work on specialist engineered products used across the oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and process industries , including flare systems, burners, skids and pressure vessel fabrications.You will be working with carbon steel, stainless steel and high-nickel alloys , producing high-quality fabricated components from detailed engineering drawings.The Role You will be responsible for:Reading and interpreting engineering, fabrication and isometric drawingsFabricating and plating components accurately from technical drawingsPreparing materials for welding through cutting, sawing, drilling, grinding, pipe bending and threadingWorking confidently with both metric and imperial measurementsCarrying out Class 1 fabrication and welding activitiesReading and working to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Producing fillet, lap, corner and butt welds to required quality standardsWorking to recognised welding standards including ASME IX and ISO 15614Planning fabrication sequences to maintain efficient workflowMaintaining excellent standards of workmanship, quality and safetyWhat We're Looking For You will ideally be an experienced Welder / Fabricator / Plater from a heavy engineering environment such as:Oil & Gas | Pressure Vessels | Pipework | Petrochemical | Power Generation | Process Engineering | Heavy FabricationYou will need:Class 1 welding, fabrication or plating experienceStrong TIG welding capabilityAbility to pass a Class 1 TIG fillet weld testStrong experience reading engineering and fabrication drawingsExperience working with carbon steel and stainless steelExperience with high-nickel alloys would be highly beneficialGood knowledge of fabrication and weld preparation techniquesUnderstanding of WPS documentation and welding proceduresStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently as well as part of a skilled fabrication teamFull UK Driving LicenceAbility to commute to StamfordPrevious experience within an ISO 3834 fabrication environment , pressure vessel manufacturing or burner fabrication would be advantageous but is not essential.The Package This opportunity comes with an excellent benefits package including:27 days' annual leave plus bank holidays12% employer pension contributionBUPA private healthcareMedicashEmployee Assistance ProgrammeLife insuranceTraining and professional developmentLong-term career progression opportunitiesRegular company social eventsSupportive, safety-focused engineering environmentWhy Apply?
