The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team of a successful, growing business in Marlow. Working directly with the CFO, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, taking ownership of monthly management accounts while providing accurate financial reporting and valuable commercial insight to support business decisions. This is a varied, hands-on position that would suit someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial SME environment and wants genuine responsibility, autonomy and exposure to senior leadership.Key Responsibilities\n\n • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.\n, • Manage month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.\n, • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.\n, • Monitor cash flow and prepare regular cash flow forecasts.\n, • Oversee purchase and sales ledger activities.\n, • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.\n, • Prepare and submit VAT returns.\n, • Support year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors.\n, • Assist the CFO with financial planning, reporting and analysis.\n, • Provide financial insight to support operational and commercial decision-making.\n, • Support project profitability reporting and cost analysis.\n, • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and internal controls.\n, • Assist with ad hoc finance projects as the business continues to grow.\nAbout YouWe’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being hands-on and working collaboratively within a growing business.You’ll ideally have:\n\n, • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified \n, • Previous experience in a Management Accountant position.\n, • Strong month-end accounting experience.\n, • Excellent Excel skills and confidence using accounting software.\n, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.\n, • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.\n, • A positive, proactive approach and excellent communication skills.\n What’s on Offer? \n\n, • £45000 - £50000\n, • A varied role with genuine responsibility and autonomy.\n, • Direct exposure to senior leadership and commercial decision-making.\n, • The opportunity to join an established and growing business.\n, • A supportive, collaborative and creative working environment.\n, • Excellent opportunity for professional development and career progression.\n, • A beautiful working location.\n If you’re an experienced, qualified finance professional looking for a role where you can take ownership, work closely with senior leadership and make a genuine commercial impact, we’d love to hear from you.
