Purpose of the jobJoining our Global tax team as a VAT Accountant for EMEA, you will be responsible reviewing the EMEA VAT ledgers of the group companies and ensuring that these are fully reconciled at each reporting period. You'll be responsible for reviewing the transactional data within those VAT ledgers and preparing the VAT Returns / Intrastat / EC Sales Lists as required. In this role you will work closely with other members of the business including the General Ledger team on VAT reconciliations and with the Accounts Payable and Treasury team on tax payments. There will also be the opportunity to work with the EMEA Tax Managers on advisory projects and tax technology projects.This role operates on a blended basis between the local HH Global office and home as necessary.Key responsibilitiesSupport the UK based EMEA VAT team as well as external advisors with the preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns, to ensure timely and accurate submission of indirect tax returns.
