Test & Commissioning Engineer\n Location: East Yorkshire (Howden/Goole Area)Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term ContractIndustry: Manufacturing / Process Engineering The Opportunity\n A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Test & Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning and start-up of a newly constructed production facility in East Yorkshire. \n This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major capital project involving advanced process equipment and automation systems. The successful candidate will join a skilled engineering team responsible for the testing, commissioning, and early operational support of complex electro-mechanical equipment within a modern manufacturing environment. \n The role would suit an engineer with strong fault-finding skills, commissioning experience, and a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges. Key Responsibilities\n Reporting to the Engineering Manager, responsibilities will include: \n\n • Setting up, configuring, testing and commissioning electro-mechanical equipment and systems.\n, • Carrying out electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic testing activities.\n, • Completing insulation resistance (IR) testing, loop testing and earth bonding verification.\n, • Using a variety of test equipment including multi-meters and other diagnostic tools.\n, • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.\n, • Supporting installation, commissioning and maintenance activities as required.\n, • Ensuring all test procedures, documentation and commissioning records are completed accurately and to a high standard.\n, • Working collaboratively with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.\nCandidate Requirements\n\n, • Previous experience within a testing, commissioning or electro-mechanical engineering environment.\n, • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.\n, • Experience using a range of electrical and mechanical testing equipment.\n, • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics and P&IDs.\n, • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.\n, • Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.\n, • Good understanding of low-voltage (LV) electrical systems.\nDesirable Qualifications & Experience\n\n, • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Maintenance or a related Engineering discipline.\n, • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.\n, • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.\n, • HNC/HND in Engineering.\n, • Site Safety Passport or equivalent.\n, • Previous commissioning experience within manufacturing, automation, process, chemical or industrial environments.\nWhat's on Offer?\n\n, • Opportunity to work on a significant new-build manufacturing facility.\n, • Exposure to advanced equipment and technologies.\n, • Collaborative engineering environment with experienced project and maintenance teams.\n, • Chance to contribute to the successful commissioning of a strategically important production site.\n, • Fixed-term contract with immediate impact and responsibility.\n
