You will work closely with customers, project teams, and system integrators, requiring strong communication skills and the maturity to represent the business professionally on-site. Key Responsibilities Commission and start up automated warehousing and material handling systems, including conveyors, shuttles, lifts, robotic equipment, and associated automation systems. Configure, test, validate, and troubleshoot PLC software and control systems during commissioning activities. Monitor and optimise system performance throughout testing and start-up phases. Diagnose, investigate, and resolve technical issues encountered on customer sites. Provide first-line and second-line technical support to customers and integration partners, both remotely and on-site. Support customer training and assist end users with system operation where required. Produce accurate commissioning reports, technical documentation, and issue logs. Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures. Promote continuous improvement, lean working practices, and a strong safety culture. Provide technical feedback to engineering and project teams to support ongoing product and process improvements.Skills and Experience A qualification in Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Experience working within industrial automation, intralogistics, manufacturing, material handling, or similar technical environments. Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. A hands-on approach with the ability to perform on-site technical adjustments and minor repairs on Siemens or Allen Bradley control platforms Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, with the maturity and confidence to liaise professionally with customers on-site. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively within international project teams. Flexibility to travel extensively across the UK and work varied site schedules.
