ESTATE OPERATIVE Rendall & Rittner £25,000 - £27,000 Dagenham Green - RM9 6JW Monday - Friday 0600 - 1600 DEVELOPMENT DETAILS Be part of a landmark, mixed-use regeneration that will ultimately be home to around 3,500 households, centred around a five-acre park with new school, workspace and retail. Youll support a fast-growing, sustainability-led community with excellent transport links, including nearby Dagenham Dock and easy Elizabeth line connections at Woolwich. ROLE EXPECTATIONS You will be the on-site presence keeping the estate clean, safe and welcoming, from maintaining communal areas and external spaces to supporting contractors and residents. Youll carry out routine inspections, address issues proactively and escalate where needed, ensuring high standards are consistently met. Must be in possession of a full UK Driving Licence and be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Communal areas and external spaces are consistently spotless, safe and ready for residents and visitors. Inspections are completed on schedule with issues identified early and resolved promptly. Residents feel listened to, receive helpful updates and rate their experience highly. Health and safety procedures are followed rigorously, with accurate records maintained. Contractors are supported and supervised so works are delivered to standard and on time. You collaborate smoothly with the management team, sharing insights to improve the estate. HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME Carrying out daily cleaning of lobbies, lifts, corridors, bins, and external walkways. Conducting regular inspections of lighting, doors, plant rooms and fire safety equipment (visual checks) and reporting defects. Managing waste and recycling areas, including bins rotation, cleanliness and bulky waste coordination. Supporting access for contractors, monitoring works and keeping concise site logs. Responding to resident queries courteously, taking ownership and escalating when required. Undertaking basic maintenance and groundskeeping tasks to keep the estate looking its best. Youre proactive and safety-minded, acting quickly to resolve or escalate issues. EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS Experience in estate, facilities, housekeeping, caretaking or grounds maintenance. Working knowledge of cleaning techniques, safe use of equipment and materials. Familiarity with health and safety practices, risk awareness and record keeping. Experience supporting contractors or using basic maintenance tools for minor fixes. Using handheld devices or simple systems to log jobs, inspections and updates.
