Client Manager\n Location: Bromsgrove, MidlandsJob Type: Full-time, Permanent \n An established and growing accountancy practice based in Bromsgrove is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their Midlands office. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to manage their own client portfolio while playing a key role in mentoring junior team members and supporting senior leadership. The Role\n As Client Manager, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio and act as the main point of contact, delivering high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services. You'll work closely with Senior Managers and Directors, contributing to technical work, client advice and team development. Key responsibilities\n\n • Review company financial statements and sole trader accounts\n, • Review corporation tax returns\n, • Draft technical and client-facing advice with support from Senior Managers and Directors\n, • Oversee personal tax compliance and annual personal tax filings for clients\n, • Ensure accurate and compliant financial statement disclosures\n, • Manage and maintain a portfolio of clients, acting as first point of contact\n, • Liaise with clients regarding deadlines, requirements and queries\n, • Support Senior Managers and Directors across Accounts, Tax, VAT, Payroll and Company Secretarial deadlines\n, • Communicate with clients to obtain required information\n, • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships\n, • Provide ad hoc financial support, including interpretation of results\n, • Support clients with internal systems and controls, including implementation of accounting software\n, • Confidently explain tax and financial matters to reassure and advise clients\n, • Support and mentor senior associates and supervisors\nAbout you\n\n, • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)\n, • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within practice\n, • Proven experience managing your own portfolio of clients\n, • Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax, with a commitment to continued development\n, • Confident using Outlook, Word and Excel\n, • Strong experience with Xero\n, • Exposure to Iris, Alpha, QuickBooks and Sage 50 desirable\n, • Technologically aware and comfortable adopting new systems\n, • Self-motivated with the ability to apply skills to new scenarios\n, • Strong communication and people management skills\n, • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and focus\n, • Excellent analytical and research skills\nThe package\n\n, • Competitive salary\n, • 26 days' holiday plus public holidays\n, • Enhanced pension contributions\n, • Health plan benefits\n, • Flexible working options\n, • Free on-site parking\n, • Clear progression opportunities\n, • Ongoing training and professional development\n\n \n For more info, please apply today!
