\n Senior Media Engineer – Post-Production Support Location: London – Hybrid Contract: 12 months Pay rate: £352 per day PAYE Working pattern: Full-time, with occasional evening, weekend and out-of-hours support The Role\n We are recruiting an experienced Senior Media Engineer to support the post-production and live editorial operations of a leading global entertainment and streaming organisation. \n This role will sit within a specialist Post Production Services team responsible for supporting advanced editorial environments, media workflows, file-transfer processes and production technology used across film, television and live content. \n The successful candidate will combine strong post-production knowledge with hands‑on technical troubleshooting, excellent stakeholder support and the ability to remain calm in fast-moving production environments. Key Responsibilities\n \n • Provide high-quality technical and operational support to production, editorial and post-production users.\n, • Troubleshoot issues affecting media workflows, file transfers, editorial tools and post-production services.\n, • Monitor automated file transfers, production systems and workflow health through central operational dashboards.\n, • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues before they impact productions.\n, • Support footage ingest and automated ingest workflows.\n, • Provide specialist support for media library, dailies, VFX pulls, conform pulls and review and approval processes.\n, • Investigate failed or delayed media transfers and coordinate remediation.\n, • Support live editorial and remote production environments.\n, • Maintain clear documentation covering incidents, recurring issues, fixes and operational procedures.\n, • Collect feedback from production users and identify opportunities to improve tools and workflows.\n, • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to prioritise bug fixes, troubleshooting tools and service improvements.\n, • Support the testing, deployment and adoption of new production technology.\n, • Collaborate with regional Production Technology teams and provide local workflow knowledge and production context.\n, • Escalate complex issues appropriately and manage them through to resolution.\n Essential Experience\n \n, • At least three years’ experience in post-production support, media engineering, studio or network support, or process management within a post-production vendor.\n, • Strong understanding of content creation, on-set production and post-production processes.\n, • Experience supporting editorial or media production environments.\n, • Knowledge of dailies, media ingest, VFX pulls, conform processes and review and approval workflows.\n, • Experience troubleshooting complex media, file‑transfer or production technology issues.\n, • Strong stakeholder communication and client‑service skills.\n, • Ability to work independently and make decisions in high‑pressure environments.\n, • Strong organisational, prioritisation and incident‑management skills.\n, • Willingness to support productions outside standard office hours when required.\n Technical Skills\n Experience with a selection of the following tools and technologies is highly desirable: \n \n • Avid Media Composer\n, • Adobe Premiere Pro\n, • FilmLight Baselight\n, • Colorfront OSD\n, • Autodesk PIX\n, • Flow Capture\n, • Aspera\n, • Remote editorial and PCoIP technologies\n, • Live streaming and live editorial workflows\n, • Command-line tools\n, • APIs and basic API interaction\n \n Candidates should also have an understanding of: \n \n • JSON, XML and CSV data formats\n, • ALE, EDL, FDL and MHL/ASC‑MHL standards\n, • Colour science within editorial and post‑production workflows\n, • Local storage, shared storage, SAN and cloud‑storage environments\n, • Automated media‑transfer and content‑management workflows\n About You\n You will be: \n \n • Calm and solutions‑focused under pressure\n, • Proactive in identifying and preventing production issues\n, • Comfortable supporting demanding creative and technical stakeholders\n, • Able to explain complex technical issues clearly\n, • Highly responsive and service‑oriented\n, • Adaptable and quick to learn new tools and workflows\n, • Comfortable working independently and as part of a global team\n, • Available for occasional night, weekend and out‑of‑hours support\n \n This is an excellent opportunity for a media engineering or post‑production technology specialist to support high‑profile content within a technically advanced global production environment. \n #J-18808-Ljbffr
