This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a growing engineering business. \n \n If you have experience within Resource/Capacity planning or similar and are from an engineering/manufacturing background, apply now for an immediate response! \n \n The job you’ll do: \n\n • Capacity Planning & Forecasting\n, • Develop and maintain a comprehensive capacity plan covering all business functions, including: Engineering, Procurement, Assembly, Inspection and testing, Quality & Projects\n, • Project support functions\n, • Provide accurate visibility of: Available labour hours, Planned workload, Resource gaps, Department constraints and Potential delivery risks\n, • Maintain forward-looking capacity plans covering current projects, secured orders, and future quoted opportunities.\n, • Support strategic workforce planning by identifying when additional resources, subcontract support, training, or investment may be required.\n, • Create and maintain resource-loaded schedules to understand the impact of current and future workload.\n, • Develop planning models that demonstrate: Department loading, Labour demand versus availability, Project resource requirements, Critical bottlenecks and Delivery risks\n, • Work with department managers to validate resource assumptions and improve planning accuracy.\n, • Identify conflicting priorities and recommend mitigation actions.\n\n \n About you: \n\n • Proven experience in capacity planning, production planning, resource scheduling, or operations planning within an engineering/manufacturing environment.\n, • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and resource constraints.\n, • Experience developing resource-loaded schedules and capacity models.\n, • Advanced Excel skills, including: Complex formulas, Pivot tables, Data analysis, Reporting dashboards, Capacity modelling\n, • Ability to analyse large amounts of data and convert information into clear business decisions.\n, • Excellent communication skills at all levels\n, • Well organised and self-motivated\n, • Able to work well both independently and within a team\n\n
