Shift Engineer Salary: £53,346 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance) Location: Stokesley, North Yorkshire Are you a time-served Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a new challenge within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join a successful manufacturing site in Stokesley, supporting the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of plant and equipment across the operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, solving problems, improving equipment performance, and working closely with production teams to minimise downtime. The Role As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving site assets through effective planned preventative maintenance, reactive fault finding, and continuous improvement activities. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting production targets while maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and engineering performance. What’s on Offer • £53,346 salary package inclusive of shift allowance, • Opportunity to join a successful manufacturing operation in Stokesley, • Excellent earning potential within a skilled engineering environment, • Opportunity to develop your engineering skills within a technically challenging role, • Bonus is up to 5% and pension is matched up to 5% as well Key Responsibilities • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities, • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across site equipment, • Improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned downtime, • Complete root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, • Support continuous improvement projects and engineering initiatives, • Work closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively, • Maintain accurate engineering records and update maintenance systems, • Ensure equipment operates in line with safety, quality, and food manufacturing standards, • Support contractors and engineering projects where required, • Complete effective shift handovers and communicate key issues across teams About You The successful candidate will ideally have: • A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, • Multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally with an electrical bias, • Minimum HNC qualification in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience), • Previous experience working within an industrial manufacturing environment, • Experience within food manufacturing/FMCG would be advantageous, • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, • Experience using CMMS systems, • Good understanding of preventative maintenance practices, • Strong problem-solving ability with experience of root cause analysis, • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Desirable Experience • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards, • Engineering project experience, • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification, • Experience working with site services and utilities If you are an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a new opportunity, we would like to hear from you
