Immediate start available (subject to interview process) Salary is £33,133.33 per annum - inclusive of shift allowance This will be working days, afternoons and nights shift pattern, working hours are Days - Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm, Afternoons 1pm - 9pm Monday to Friday & Night shift is Monday to Thursday 8pm to 6am. Duties and Responsibilities Goods receipt and despatch of material to ensure traceability of material though correct use of administration procedure. ID material before and after heat treatment, highlight and report any anomalies, to change-hand and or Heat Treatment Manager. Charge makeup / break down - Ensure correct make-up of charge in line with Heat Treatment reports. Straightening / Brinelling - Working to deadlines to meet customers' demands. To work in accordance with the Company's Health and safety and Environment Policies. We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / Steel Loader to join a team in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual to work within a busy steel and heavy industrial environment. The successful candidate will support the efficient handling, loading, and movement of steel materials while maintaining high standards of safety and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Loading and unloading steel materials safely and efficiently. Supporting the day-to-day operations of the yard. Handling and moving steel products within the yard environment. Assisting with stock organisation and material storage. Ensuring all tasks are carried out in line with company health and safety procedures. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.Skills, Experience & Qualifications Experience handling steel or working within a heavy industrial environment is advantageous. Mobile plant licences are preferred. Overhead crane licences are preferred. Strong understanding of health and safety within an industrial setting. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
