    KIKILICKS – NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL 2026 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS – ALL POSITIONS Punctuality Is Essential You must be at the designated food-truck location by 6:30 AM SHARP on both mornings. Do not plan to arrive at 6:30 AM. Plan your journey so that you are already at the meeting point and ready to begin work at 6:30 AM. Notting Hill Carnival involves road closures, crowd barriers, security restrictions and significant disruption to normal transport. Late arrival could therefore mean being unable to access the trading area. High Energy & Stamina You must be comfortable: • Working approximately 14 hours per day., • Standing for long periods., • Working around very large crowds., • Working in a loud environment., • Working quickly during sustained rush periods., • Carrying out physical tasks where appropriate to your role., • Remaining focused towards the end of a long working day., • CUSTOMER SERVICE Everyone represents KikiLicks, regardless of whether their primary role is in the kitchen or front-of-house. Team members are expected to: • Be polite and respectful., • Communicate clearly., • Remain calm under pressure., • Never argue with customers., • Escalate complaints to the designated supervisor., • Work cooperatively with colleagues., • Maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout the event., • CLEANLINESS & FOOD SAFETY All staff must follow the food-safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures provided during training. This includes: • Regular handwashing., • Keeping food and service areas clean., • Preventing cross-contamination., • Following instructions regarding allergen procedures., • Keeping walkways free from hazards., • Reporting spills and hazards immediately., • Maintaining clean equipment and utensils., • Following instructions relating to hot and cold food holding., • EXPERIENCE Previous experience in any of the following is highly desirable: • Nigerian/African catering, • Festivals, • Large outdoor events, • Street-food businesses, • Food trucks, • Restaurants, • Takeaways, • Professional kitchens, • Catering, • Cashier/POS work, • High-volume hospitality, • Customer service Experience requirements will vary depending on the position. Full event-specific training will be provided. PAY & STAFF MEALS £13.00 – £14.00 PER HOUR The final hourly rate offered will depend on the role, responsibilities and relevant experience of the successful applicant.     Carbonite Clean is currently looking to recruit a full-time Senior Cleaner / Junior Supervisor This is a mobile role working across multiple client sites predominantly in West and North London. The successful candidate will be an experienced commercial cleaner with exceptional attention to detail and a thorough understanding of cleaning standards, chemicals, equipment and safe working practices. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a proactive and professional approach to managing people and maintaining high service standards. You will be responsible for identifying and addressing performance issues, coaching and supporting cleaning operatives, and implementing improvements to ensure our clients consistently receive an outstanding level of service. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, works well independently and leads by example. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, dependable and eager to develop their career, with the potential to progress into a more senior supervisory or management position as Carbonite Clean continues to grow. As part of this hands-on role, you will also be expected to work alongside our cleaning teams where required, providing operational support across our client portfolio. While the majority of shifts will be worked during the afternoon and evening, you will also be required to work early mornings or late evenings as needed to support client requirements, holiday and sickness cover, new contract mobilisations and specialist cleaning projects. You will be trusted to make decisions, solve problems independently and represent Carbonite Clean professionally when dealing with clients.
