Experienced Pizzaiolo Belmont Children's Farm The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, London, NW7 1QT SET IN A HIDDEN VALLEY We are looking for a talented and passionate pizzaiolo with the experience, creativity and drive to take charge of our fully equipped restaurant at Belmont Children's Farm and help turn it into somewhere people want to visit again and again. The restaurant is currently closed, making this a genuine opportunity for the right person to come in, help shape the offering from the outset and play a leading role in bringing the space to life. The restaurant and equipment are already here. What we are looking for now is the right person to make something of it. We want someone who is passionate about pizza and great food - someone who understands that a really good pizza can be simple, but it needs excellent ingredients, skill, consistency and care. More importantly, we are looking for someone who sees the opportunity in having a space where they can bring their own ideas, personality and expertise. Set within Belmont Children's Farm's hidden valley, the restaurant has the opportunity to serve families visiting the farm as well as the diverse communities and local residents surrounding us. We want to create a relaxed, welcoming restaurant where people from all backgrounds can sit down, enjoy genuinely good food and want to return. You would have the opportunity to help shape the food offering, develop the menu and create the atmosphere and reputation of the restaurant, while working alongside a hands-on owner who likes to be involved and share ideas. We are looking for someone who: • Is an experienced pizzaiolo with a genuine passion for their craft, • Has high standards for ingredients, preparation and consistency, • Is creative and excited by the opportunity to develop an offering from the outset, • Has strong knowledge of food hygiene and food safety practices, • Understands HACCP principles, allergen management, cross-contamination and temperature control, • Holds relevant food hygiene/food safety qualifications or certification, or can demonstrate equivalent appropriate training and experience, • Can take responsibility for maintaining excellent hygiene, food safety and operational standards, • Has the confidence and experience to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation, • Has experience managing, training or leading a kitchen team, • Can help recruit staff, organise rotas and establish an effective kitchen operation, • Understands menu development, stock management, ordering, suppliers and food costs, • Has an entrepreneurial mindset and treats the business with the care they would give their own, • Understands hospitality and what makes customers return, • Wants the opportunity to build something special We are not looking for someone to simply fill a position. We are looking for someone who sees a closed restaurant, a fully equipped kitchen and an opportunity - and immediately starts imagining what it could become. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. We’d also love to see what you create. If you have a portfolio, website, blog or social media page where you share your work, please include it when you get in touch. Whether it’s photographs, videos, recipes or simply a glimpse into your craft, we’d love to see what you’re passionate about. Interested? Please send an introduction about yourself, your experience and, where possible, examples of your work.
