We are recruiting a Quality Inspector for our reputable client \n Location: Corsham \n Salary: £40000 \n Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm \n Overtime: Available if required \n About our Client hiring a Quality Inspector: \n An established precision engineering company with over 60 years of manufacturing experience. They operate from modern facilities and are looking to grow and expand their team. \n Key Responsibilities as a Quality Inspector: \n\n • Inspect precision components using metrology and manual measurement equipment\n, • Measure components to supplied CAD models and engineering drawings\n, • Create, run and output measurements from CMM programs where required\n, • Maintain calibration and tooling records for measurement equipment\n, • Work confidently with engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, revisions, symbols and layouts\n, • Carry out inspection in line with ISO 9001 or higher manufacturing standards\n, • Provide feedback to Production Engineering to improve programs and machining methods\n, • Support health and safety standards across the site\n, • Requirements for the Quality Inspector role:\n, • Minimum 2 years’ experience inspecting precision components\n, • Experience working in a manufacturing environment to ISO 9001 or higher, such as AS9100\n, • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings\n, • Good understanding of geometric tolerances, revisions, symbols and layouts\n, • Competent using manual inspection and metrology equipment\n, • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word\n, • Excellent communication skills\n, • Able to work professionally under pressure\n, • Proactive, self-motivated and quality focused\n, • Able to work independently and as part of a team\n\n Desirable experience for the Quality Inspector role: \n\n • Previous CMM inspection experience\n, • Ability to create, run and output measurements from CMM programs\n, • Offline CMM programming experience\n, • Experience using Aberlink software\n, • Background in machining or precision engineering\n, • Previous CAD/CAM experience\n, • Experience working within AS9100 environments\n\n What's Offered for the Quality Inspector role: \n\n • Excellent rates of pay based on previous experience and ability\n, • Half-day finish every Friday\n, • Overtime opportunities where available\n, • Company salary sacrifice pension scheme after 3 months’ satisfactory performance\n, • Mileage subsidy to and from work\n, • Uniform and PPE provided\n, • Onsite parking\n, • Cycle to work scheme\n, • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays\n, • Company shutdown over Christmas and New Year\n, • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.\n
