About the Role \n We're seeking an experienced People Operations Assistant/Specialist to take ownership of our people operations function during an exciting period of growth and change. \n \n This is a broad and hands-on role combining HR operations, systems management, data governance, compliance, training administration, and process improvement. You'll play a key role in ensuring an excellent employee experience while building scalable, efficient people processes that support the organisation's future growth. \n \n The successful candidate will be equally comfortable managing day-to-day operational requirements and leading initiatives that improve how the people function operates. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n People Operations \n\n • Manage and support employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment administration, onboarding, contractual changes, and offboarding.\n, • Act as a key point of contact for employee and manager queries.\n, • Support performance, reward, benefits, and policy administration.\n, • Review and update HR policies, processes, and documentation.\n, • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery across People Operations.\n\n \n HR Systems & Data \n\n • Own and manage the HRIS, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and compliance.\n, • Drive continuous improvement of people systems and workflows.\n, • Conduct data cleansing activities and establish robust governance standards.\n, • Analyse trends and perform root cause analysis to resolve data issues and prevent recurrence.\n, • Produce people metrics and reports that support decision-making.\n\n \n Training & Governance \n\n • Coordinate and administer training activities across the business.\n, • Review existing training processes and recommend improvements.\n, • Maintain accurate training records and support compliance requirements.\n, • Enhance training governance and operational controls.\n\n \n Compliance & Change \n\n • Support organisational growth and change initiatives.\n, • Develop and improve people operational infrastructure, processes, and controls.\n, • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.\n, • Contribute to projects relating to payroll, shared services, and operational transformation.\n, • Support wider administrative and business improvement activities as required.\n\n \n About You \n You are a proactive People Operations professional who enjoys creating structure, improving systems, and delivering practical solutions. \n \n Essential Experience \n\n • Experience in a People Operations, HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or similar HR role.\n, • Strong HRIS administration and process improvement experience.\n, • Experience managing HR data and maintaining data integrity.\n, • Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR compliance.\n, • Experience identifying and implementing operational improvements.\n, • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.\n, • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\n \n Desirable Experience \n\n • Payroll administration or payroll transition experience.\n, • Experience supporting organisational change initiatives.\n, • HR systems implementation or optimisation experience.\n, • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.\n\n \n What You'll Bring \n\n • A continuous improvement mindset.\n, • Strong attention to detail and governance.\n, • Confidence working independently and taking ownership.\n, • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.\n, • The ability to balance operational demands with strategic improvement initiatives.\n\n \n Package \n\n • Hybrid working arrangement\n, • Comprehensive benefits package\n, • Opportunity to shape and develop a growing People Operations function\n, • Collaborative and innovative working environment\n, • Ongoing professional development opportunities\n
