The role is accountable for safeguarding, staff development, operational excellence, and achieving positive outcomes for children. Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Operational Management • Provide strong, child‑centred leadership that promotes safety, stability, and emotional wellbeing., • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards., • Maintain and regularly review the Statement of Purpose., • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational systems., • Ensure the home is adequately staffed at all times and manage the rota effectively., • Oversee health & safety, fire safety, and environmental risk management. 2. Safeguarding & Risk Management • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the home., • Ensure all safeguarding concerns are reported, recorded, and escalated appropriately., • Lead on risk assessments and behaviour support planning., • Maintain oversight of incidents, patterns, and trends to reduce risk and improve outcomes. 3.
