Recovery & Discharge: Manage post-procedure patient recovery, monitor for complications, and deliver clear post-operative discharge instructions and aftercare education. Scope & Equipment Management: Adhere to strict JAG (Joint Advisory Group) accreditation standards, COSHH guidelines, and scope decontamination protocols. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, contemporaneous electronic and paper clinical records in line with NMC guidelines and NHS Trust policies. Candidate Requirements Qualifications: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registration with an active PIN (Registered General Nurse - RGN). Experience: Minimum of 6–12 months of post-qualification experience working within an NHS or private Endoscopy Unit or Acute Gastroenterology ward. Skills: Proficient in patient admission, procedure room assisting, sedation monitoring, and recovery care. (Cannulation/Venepuncture skills are desirable). Compliance: Up-to-date mandatory training, Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, and full occupational health immunity clearance. Right to Work: Full right to work in the United Kingdom.
