We continually look for motivated and skilled individuals who are interested in supporting our customers – healthcare professionals who use our products to help patients and their communities.We currently have the following opportunity available - please contact us for more details!As part of our continued growth across Region Europe, we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our international Legal team and provide high-quality, pragmatic legal support to our European business.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer with early in-house experience who is excited to work in a fast-paced, international environment within the medical device industry.About the roleAs Legal Counsel for Region Europe (REU), you will work closely with business stakeholders and legal colleagues across multiple countries, providing commercial, practical, and risk-aware legal advice. You will play a key role in supporting sales contracting, corporate governance, and broader legal matters across the region, while collaborating with specialist global teams in Compliance, IP, and Regulatory Affairs. Key responsibilitiesAs part of the Elekta Legal Team, you will:Work closely with legal colleagues both within Region Europe & globally as part of a collaborative, high-energy international teamAct at all times with integrity, ethical judgment, and in line with Elekta’s valuesProvide prompt, practical, and commercially focused legal advice to internal clientsDraft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contractsSupport litigation, arbitration, and dispute matters (with senior counsel support as appropriate)Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate restructuringsDevelop and implement best practices, templates, and training to streamline legal processesDeliver legal training to business stakeholdersParticipate actively in Elekta Legal forums and initiativesRole-specific responsibilities (Region Europe):Legal review and negotiation of sales contracts across REU in line with established processesProvide full legal support to Elekta’s legal entities in REU, including employment and real estate matters (with external counsel where needed)Support corporate governance and internal governance requirements, including signatory rights managementConduct legal risk assessments and provide clear, actionable recommendationsApply Elekta’s Contracting Excellence process consistentlyProvide initial support on Compliance, IP, and Regulatory matters, liaising with specialist teams as requiredInstruct and manage external counsel, ensuring compliance with internal fee and approval processesSupport other areas of the business as agreed with the Regional General Counsel to help manage capacity across the teamWhat we’re looking forEssential qualifications and experienceGraduate of an English law school with strong academic credentialsQualified lawyer and member in good standing of a local bar (or equivalent)Minimum 2 years’ full-time practice as a licensed attorney, including in-house legal experienceStrong commercial and contract law foundationExcellent English (written and verbal); additional European languages are an advantageSkills and competenciesStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsHighly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesCommercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business needsCollaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working across functions and seniority levelsConfident working independently with minimal supervisionExcellent negotiation, communication, training, and presentation skillsSound ethical judgment and a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityWhat we offerA truly international in-house legal role supporting a purpose-driven medtech businessExposure to complex, cross-border legal work across Region EuropeA collaborative, supportive legal team with strong professional standardsOpportunities to grow your in-house legal career within a global organisationCompetitive compensation and benefitsInternational travel (up to ~15%)Why Elekta?At Elekta, our work impacts patients’ lives every day.
