This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced commercial environment, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs to ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard. Key Responsibilities • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric maintenance across the site, • Complete a range of building fabric tasks including carpentry, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, patch repairs and flooring maintenance, • Support the wider engineering team with maintenance activities when required, • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures, • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational requirements, • Accurately record completed work using the CAFM system or maintenance job sheets, • Identify defects, recommend repairs and suggest improvements where appropriate, • Contribute to delivering a high standard of facilities maintenance and customer service Skills & Experience • Proven experience in a building services or fabric maintenance role, • Good all-round knowledge of building fabric repairs and planned maintenance, • Experience working within commercial, retail or similar environments is desirable, • Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices, • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, • Strong communication and customer service skills, • Flexible approach with a willingness to support out-of-hours work and call-outs when required Desirable • Relevant qualifications in carpentry, joinery or building maintenance, • Experience working within large, busy or public-facing environments, • Familiarity with CAFM systems What We're Looking For We're looking for a reliable, proactive and customer-focused maintenance professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
