A leading UK law firm is looking for an Office Assistant to support the smooth running of its Bristol office, providing first-class internal and external customer service alongside facilities and office administration. This is a varied role in a friendly, corporate environment, with plenty of scope to learn and grow. The work spans back-office admin, facilities support and some front-of-house cover, roughly a fifth of the week. What you'll do: • Process incoming and outgoing mail, couriers, scanning, photocopying and document production, including binding and laminating, • Manage stationery, IT consumables and office supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained, • Support new starters and leavers with workspace, equipment and office set-up requirements, • Maintain meeting rooms, client areas and office facilities, including AV set-up and catering support, • Provide a professional front-of-house service, covering reception, visitors and events as required, • Liaise with contractors, engineers and service providers, supporting the smooth running of office operations, • Support health and safety compliance, including Fire Warden and First Aid responsibilities where required, • Travel occasionally to support other office locations and undertake additional duties as requested by the Office Manager What we're looking for: • Customer-facing or office support experience in a professional environment, whether that's office, facilities, customer service, finance or general admin, • A highly professional, positive and proactive approach, with pride in delivering high standards of service, • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work flexibly and collaborate effectively within a team, • Good IT literacy, attention to detail and a willingness to learn new systems and processes, • An interest in workplace operations and continuous improvement, • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and practices (desirable), • Able to work 36.25 hours per week on a shift pattern between 08:00 and 18:00, • Backgrounds vary, from office and facilities support to customer service, finance or admin, so if you bring the right attitude they'll help you learn the rest
