Change Lives. \n Reed FE is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Maths Tutor to support learners on a Foundation Learning programmes. \n These programmes support young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to develop confidence, independence, employability skills, and life skills while working towards English and Maths qualifications. Students typically work at Entry Level through to Functional Skills levels and benefit from engaging, practical, and highly differentiated teaching approaches. \n This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who is passionate about inclusive learning and understands how to make maths accessible, relevant, and enjoyable for learners with diverse needs. \n Key Responsibilities; \n\n • Deliver engaging and differentiated maths sessions to learners working from Entry Level through to Functional Skills.\n, • Embed maths into real-life and vocational contexts to support independence and everyday living skills.\n, • Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and achievement.\n, • Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records of achievement.\n, • Work collaboratively with support staff, curriculum teams, and wider college services.\n, • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning, communication, and support needs.\n, • Contribute to learners' preparation for progression into further learning, employment, and independent living.\n\n We Are Looking For Someone Who: \n\n • Holds a recognised teaching qualification.\n, • Has experience teaching Maths, Functional Skills Maths, or Entry Level Maths.\n, • Has experience working with SEND learners, Foundation Learning students, or young people with additional support needs.\n, • Understands differentiated teaching and inclusive learning practices.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Experience teaching learners with EHCPs.\n, • Experience within Further Education or specialist SEND settings.\n\n All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed.
