The Role\n You’ll deliver safe, effective and compassionate hydrotherapy to a wide range of canine patients, including dogs recovering from surgery or injury and those requiring rehabilitation for chronic, mobility or neurological conditions, weight management and fitness. \n You’ll have the opportunity to work independently while also being part of a supportive clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:\n\n • Delivering high-quality hydrotherapy treatments tailored to individual patients\n, • Using underwater treadmill therapy confidently and effectively\n, • Working with a varied caseload and adapting treatments appropriately\n, • Maintaining accurate clinical records\n, • Communicating professionally with clients and veterinary professionals\n, • Working alongside our Veterinary Physiotherapists and wider team\n, • Maintaining excellent standards of canine welfare, hygiene and patient care\n, • Following health & safety, infection control and centre procedures\nLone Working\n Some shifts will involve lone working, and we’re looking for someone who is confident, responsible and comfortable using their initiative. \n Your safety is important to us, and we have clear lone-working procedures in place, including: \n\n • Regular telephone check-ins\n, • CCTV throughout relevant areas\n, • Waterproof phone pouches so you can keep your phone with you around the water\n, • Clear emergency and escalation procedures\n, • Support from the wider team when required\n\n When lone working, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the centre during your shift. This includes opening and closing, preparing the centre, carrying out safety checks, monitoring and managing pool water chemical levels, recording water-quality checks, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, managing client arrivals and ensuring the premises are secured at the end of the day. \n Full training will be provided on our procedures, equipment, water management and emergency protocols. You’ll never be expected to deal with an issue without appropriate support. About You\n Essential requirements: \n\n • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Canine/Small Animal Hydrotherapy\n, • Level 4 Advanced/Applied Underwater Treadmill qualification\n, • Eligible for registration with NARCH and/or IRVAP, in line with their current requirements\n, • Confident handling dogs of different sizes, breeds and temperaments\n, • Comfortable managing a varied caseload\n, • Able to work independently and as part of a team\n, • Excellent communication and client-care skills\n, • Professional, reliable and well organised\n, • A genuine passion for canine rehabilitation\n, • Comfortable taking responsibility when lone working\n\n Previous hydrotherapy experience is highly desirable.
