Job Description You can be the teacher who plans around the learner, not a scheme of work - the teacher a vulnerable young person actually needs. None of the teaching-at-scale trade-off, less admin, just one person and the part of teaching you care about. We're recruiting experienced SEND teachers acrossGloucestershire, £28 - £35 per hour, for one-to-one work with children and young people who haven't been served by mainstream provision. \n Flexible schedule: Part-time or full-time, around your other commitments. n Work from home: hybrid placements available alongside in-person teaching. \Unlimited use of the Tes professional development library, plus our own SEMH-focused CPD. \SENDCos, Designated Safeguarding Leads, senior special-school leaders, and experienced tutors backing every placement. \n Tutor community events: Online drop-ins, knowledge-sharing sessions, and a community of fellow teachers and tutors. \We meet each young person where they are - safeguarding wrapped around the work, engagement before attainment, child-led and matched to your approach. Trauma-informed teaching that's transformative, not a gap filler - trusted by Local Authorities and schools across the UK. \n You'll teach one-to-one in English, Maths, or Science to children and young people aged 5 to 18, referred by Local Authorities and schools. \often in the home, sometimes in school, occasionally hybrid. \many have been out of school for some time. \n Experience: At least 2 years' teaching experience with SEMH, ADHD, ASC, MLD, SLD, or other SEND needs. \n Qualification: QTS or QTLS, or a directly equivalent specialist teaching qualification. \Confidence teaching English, Maths, or Science at one or more Key Stages. \n Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can help arrange this) and two professional references. \Paid monthly via an auto-generated invoice you approve in our tutor portal. Self-employed contract for services. \we welcome tutors from every background and want our network to reflect the communities our learners come from. Our referral programme rewards tutors who recommend others who complete a first lesson. \Mainstream classroom teacher, SEND Teacher, SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), Special Needs Teacher, Intervention Teacher, Alternative Provision Teacher, Reintegration Teacher, Pastoral Lead, Behaviour Mentor, ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant), LSA, TA, Educational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist (SALT), Educational Psychologist (EP), or Inclusion Coordinator. \Not a permanent or salaried position; Self-employed, freelance contract for services.
