Accounts & Tax Manager \n Tunbridge Wells \n £47,000 – £50,000 + DOE \n An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join a well-regarded and growing accountancy practice based in Tunbridge Wells \n This role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) who enjoys working closely with clients, leading teams, and delivering high-quality accounting and tax services. Experience within a practice essential. \n \n The Opportunity \n In this role, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor across a range of accounting and tax matters. Alongside this, you will play a key role in overseeing workflow, maintaining standards, and supporting the development of the wider team. \n Key duties will include: \n\n • Managing a varied client portfolio and acting as the main point of contact\n, • Leading client meetings and providing practical, tailored advice\n, • Reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns to ensure compliance with relevant regulations\n, • Planning and allocating work to ensure deadlines and priorities are met\n, • Maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and presentation across all deliverables\n, • Supporting year-end compliance work, including P11Ds and other reporting requirements\n, • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency\n, • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships\n, • Coaching and mentoring junior team members\n, • Ensuring all work is completed in line with professional and regulatory standards\n\n \n About You \n You will be a confident and commercially aware individual with experience working within an accountancy practice environment. \n You will ideally: \n\n • Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience\n, • Have experience managing a portfolio of clients\n, • Possess strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax\n, • Be confident reviewing work and maintaining compliance standards\n, • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills\n, • Be comfortable using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or similar\n, • Have experience supporting or supervising junior staff (advantageous)\n\n \n What’s on Offer \n\n • Salary of £47,000 – £50,000 + DOE neg\n, • Opportunity to take ownership of a client portfolio\n, • Supportive and collaborative working environment\n, • Clear opportunities for progression\n, • Exposure to a broad and diverse client base\n\n \n This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and professional firm.
