SITE MANAGER / FOREMAN \n Housing, Groundworks & Small Car Park Projects \n \n Location: UK \n Salary: Competitive daily rate \n Contract: Contract \n Start Date: ASAP \n \n We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager/Foreman to join our team and support the delivery of housing developments, groundworks and small car park projects. \n \n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES \n\n • Manage the day-to-day running of housing and small car park construction projects.\n, • Coordinate groundworkers, subcontractors, plant operators and other site trades.\n, • Organise labour, materials, plant and deliveries to maintain progress.\n, • Supervise groundworks, drainage, kerbing/curbs, paving, concrete and external works.\n, • Oversee installation of kerbs/curbs, external paving, paving slabs, concrete slabs and hardstanding areas.\n, • Coordinate construction activities from groundworks through to completion.\n, • Read and understand construction drawings, specifications, levels and setting-out information.\n, • Monitor workmanship and ensure works meet required quality standards.\n, • Carry out regular site inspections and resolve issues promptly.\n, • Manage site health & safety, including RAMS, inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections.\n, • Maintain site records, daily diaries, photographs and progress reports.\n, • Liaise with Project Managers, clients, engineers and subcontractors.\n, • Monitor programme and productivity, identifying potential delays and taking corrective action.\n, • Ensure sites are kept clean, organised and safe.\n, • Assist with snagging, completion and final handover.\n\n \n EXPERIENCE REQUIRED \n The successful candidate should have solid construction site experience, ideally with a background in: \n\n • Housing / residential developments\n, • Groundworks and civil engineering\n, • Small car parks and external works\n, • Kerbing / curbs and edging\n, • External paving and paving slabs\n, • Concrete slabs and hardstanding\n, • Drainage and utilities\n, • Roads, access routes and footpaths\n, • Foundations and associated groundworks\n, • Setting out and working to levels\n, • Working with subcontractors and plant operators\n, • Managing small teams and multiple trades\n\n \n ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS \n\n • Proven experience managing construction sites or leading site teams.\n, • Good understanding of health & safety and RAMS.\n, • Ability to read construction drawings and understand levels and setting-out information.\n, • Experience supervising groundworks, kerbing, paving and slab works.\n, • Strong communication and organisational skills.\n, • Ability to coordinate subcontractors and keep works progressing to programme.\n, • Practical, hands-on approach to construction.\n, • CSCS card appropriate to the role.\n, • SSSTS or SMSTS would be advantageous.\n, • First Aid qualification would be beneficial.\n, • Full UK driving licence preferred.\n, • Experience working as a Site Manager, Foreman or General Foreman would be advantageous.\n, • Right to work in the UK\n\n \n If you think you are a good fit for this role please apply within or send an updated CV to ashleigh-rose.horton@clear-er.com \n
