Hartys is an independent neighbourhood wine bar in the heart of Barnes, built around great wine, great food and warm, relaxed hospitality. We serve a carefully chosen wine list alongside cheese, charcuterie and grazing plates and regularly host private events and tastings. We're now looking for a brilliant Supervisor to become a key part of the team and help us take Hartys into its next chapter. Running shifts alongside the owners, with a future to step into Management as we progress and expand. The Role: We're a small, hands-on business, so this is a genuinely multi-skilled hospitality role . One day you might be welcoming a table and recommending a bottle, the next you'll be behind the bar, plating cheese or running the floor. You'll be responsible for: Leading shifts and delivering brilliant hospitality Hosting, taking orders and recommending wine and food Working behind the bar Plating cheese, charcuterie and simple dishes Opening and closing the venue and filling checklists Managing bookings and supporting private events Maintaining excellent standards throughout the bar Supporting stock control and day-to-day operations Bringing ideas and helping us develop the business About You We're looking for someone warm, confident and naturally good with people. Previous hospitality experience is important, ideally within a bar, wine bar or independent venue. Wine knowledge or WSET qualifications are a bonus, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important. Most importantly, we want someone who gets excited about being part of a small independent business ,someone who wants responsibility, enjoys wearing a few different hats and wants to have a real influence on how Hartys develops.
