We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join great team in an established family-owned business in Leeds. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology. The Role: The role will be responsible for the timely delivery of energy infrastructure equipment and site service projects. • Responsible for creating programme of works for site related contracts., • Customer progress meetings, • Proactively managing end-to-end project/change implementation within defined timelines and budgets, covering all facets of implementation, ensuring that project objectives are achieved, • Customer progress meetings, attend both on and off site or via Teams dependant on client requirements, • Review and identify project risks and plan mitigations., • Proactive management of the financial performance of the contract/project against target., • Production of contract/project relevant documentation., • Organise and plan sub-contractors, • Organise and plan warranty reworks, • Monitor status of major bought out equipment items and liaise with supply chain management for delivery to schedule., • Review and approval of contract design drawings produced by Engineering department and issue to client, • Proactively monitor and drive manufacturing completion to achieve client satisfaction and maintain contract milestones, including factory acceptance testing, delivery and site services, where required., • Act as primary point of contact and interface with the client via meetings, e-mail, telephone and site surveys when necessary. Represent the client requirements internally with Engineering, Production, Test, Contracts Administration, Procurement, Quality and Finance to co-ordinate smooth progress of the contract to completion., • Management, preparation and planning of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) procedures including attendance, • Preparation of RAMS and all site related documentation, • Prepare site material and review Site Reports, • Attend all relevant meetings, including pre and post job site visit and audits, • Supporting CPDs and Sales tendering Skills, Knowledge & Experience: • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, • Minimum of ONC in Electrical Engineering or similar to demonstrate technical knowledge is essential., • Technical and/or practical knowledge specifically related to energy infrastructure including transformers and switchgear is desirable, • Experience in defining, managing and delivering equipment projects, programmes and portfolios to a varied client base, • Expertise in multiple planning management and control disciplines, • Fully conversant with risk and opportunity management including associated methodologies, • Experience working within the manufacturing/engineering sectors preferably transformers., • Understanding of relevant HSE legislation for workplace and construction site working. Preferably experienced in Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) development and/or use., • Experience of in the co-ordination of FAT, • Understanding of the impact of current legislation such as CDM as it relates to product design.
