AV Technician \n Location: Leeds City Centre \n Salary: £26,500-£27,500 depending on experience \n OTE: £31,000+ including overtime and bonus opportunities \n Reports to: AV Manager \n Contract: Permanent, Full Time \n \n \n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Provide technical support for all AV requirements requested by clients through the hotel events team.\n, • Offer technical advice and support to the venue's AV Manager.\n, • Set up and operate AV equipment to a consistently high professional standard.\n, • Ensure all equipment is installed neatly, safely and correctly.\n, • Maintain accurate stock checks of equipment stored on site.\n, • Carry out basic maintenance and repairs of venue-based equipment.\n, • Work closely with hotel operations staff to ensure rooms have the correct AV setup for each event.\n, • Operate events as required, providing professional technical support to clients.\n, • Assist the AV Manager with the supervision of freelance technicians working on our behalf.\n, • Provide AV technical support to other venues in the local area.\n, • Provide holiday and additional cover at other venues when required.\n, • Be flexible to travel and stay away from home occasionally.\n, • Maintain a professional, client-focused approach at all times.\n\n \n You'll ideally have experience in a live events or AV environment, with practical knowledge of some or all of the following: \n\n • Audio and sound equipment\n, • Lighting\n, • Vision and presentation systems\n, • Rigging\n, • Set and staging\n, • Hotel conference and events environments\n\n \n You'll also need: \n\n • Good hands-on technical knowledge.\n, • The ability to work independently while being a strong team player.\n, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n, • A professional, well-presented and client-facing approach.\n, • The confidence to take initiative and solve problems.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.\n, • A hard-working, enthusiastic and positive attitude.\n, • Flexibility to work overtime and at short notice when required.\n, • A full UK driving licence.\n, • Good computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio, Word and Outlook.\n\n \n Working Hours & Benefits \n\n • Permanent, full-time position.\n, • Salary of £26,500-£27,500, depending on experience.\n, • Overtime and bonus opportunities, with OTE of £31,000+.\n, • Normal working hours are 08:00-17:00, with a one-hour lunch break.\n, • Frequent evening and weekend work will be required, with overtime or time off in lieu provided.\n, • Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.\n, • Six-month probationary period.\n, • 23 days' annual leave, plus applicable bank holidays.\n, • Holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December.\n, • Opportunity to work across a varied range of live events and venues.\n, • Full training and development opportunities within an experienced technical team.\n\n \n
