Our healthcare recruitment team is proud to be partnering with leading NHS organisations to recruit an experienced Band 7 or Band 8a (depending on experience) Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) / Emergency Practitioner (EP) on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded Community Urgent Care Service, delivering autonomous clinical care within Urgent Treatment Centres and making a real difference to patients with acute illness and injury. Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will combine advanced clinical assessment skills with leadership responsibilities, supporting patient flow, clinical decision making and the development of junior colleagues. Key Responsibilities • Independently assess, investigate, diagnose and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated acute illness and injury., • Deliver evidence-based treatment plans and safely manage clinical uncertainty and risk., • Request, interpret and act upon diagnostic investigations including radiology and pathology results., • Provide expert clinical care for patients across the age spectrum presenting with urgent and emergency care needs., • Undertake advanced clinical procedures including wound management, fracture care and emergency interventions within scope of practice., • Lead shifts within the Urgent Treatment Centre, ensuring safe patient flow and effective service delivery., • Act as a clinical resource for colleagues, providing mentorship, supervision and support to trainee practitioners., • Collaborate with NHS 111, Ambulance Services, Primary Care, Community Services and wider multidisciplinary teams., • Participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives., • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, discharge summaries and professional standards of practice. Essential Requirements • Current NMC or HCPC registration., • Qualified autonomous Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Practitioner or Advanced Clinical Practitioner with significant urgent/emergency care experience., • Minimum of 4 years' post-registration clinical experience, including experience within Emergency, Urgent Care, Acute Care or related settings., • Non-Medical Prescribing qualification., • Demonstrable experience managing minor illness and minor injury presentations autonomously., • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning and decision-making skills., • Proven leadership capability with experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior colleagues., • Ability to work confidently as an autonomous practitioner within a fast-paced and demanding urgent care environment.
