From listed building restorations and conservation works to structural repairs and sympathetic refurbishments, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. \n With a strong order book and long-term pipeline of secured projects, we offer excellent job security, ongoing training, and genuine opportunities for career advancement within a specialist and well-respected heritage business. \n \n \n The Role \n Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations while remaining actively involved in project delivery where required. You will lead by example, ensuring all works are completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with conservation best practices. \n Projects can include: \n\n • Heritage and listed building restoration\n, • Conservation and repair works\n, • Structural alterations and stabilisation\n, • Traditional masonry and stone repairs\n, • Steelwork installations\n, • Refurbishment and adaptive re-use projects\n, • Demolition and enabling works\n, • Church, civic, commercial, and historic property restoration\n\n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Supervising site operatives, specialist trades, and subcontractors\n, • Ensuring health, safety, and quality standards are maintained at all times\n, • Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and site resources\n, • Monitoring progress against programme targets and project milestones\n, • Conducting site inspections and quality checks\n, • Assisting with site records, reporting, and project documentation\n, • Supporting the management of project variations and additional works\n, • Liaising with clients, conservation officers, designers, and management teams\n, • Promoting excellent site standards and workmanship throughout each project\n, • Working alongside site teams when required and leading by example\n\n \n \n About You \n We are looking for an individual with a strong construction background and experience supervising projects within restoration, refurbishment, or specialist construction environments. \n Essential Requirements \n\n • Previous experience as a Working Foreman, Site Supervisor, General Foreman, or similar role\n, • Proven experience within heritage restoration, refurbishment, structural alteration, conservation, or specialist construction projects\n, • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills\n, • Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors effectively\n, • SMSTS or SSSTS certification\n, • First Aid qualification\n, • PASMA qualification (or willingness to obtain)\n, • Full UK driving licence\n, • Flexibility to travel to projects across Yorkshire, Manchester, and the wider region\n\n Desirable Experience \n\n • Heritage, listed building, or conservation project experience\n, • Knowledge of traditional building materials and construction methods\n, • Experience working on projects involving stonework, masonry repairs, timber restoration, lime mortars, or structural repairs\n\n What We Offer \n\n • Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience\n, • Company van and fuel card\n, • Performance-related bonus scheme\n, • Ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development\n, • Opportunities to gain additional industry qualifications and certifications\n, • Clear pathways for career progression\n, • Long-term job security within a growing specialist contractor\n, • The opportunity to work on unique, prestigious, and historically significant buildings\n, • A supportive and collaborative team environment where quality craftsmanship is valued\n\n Build a Career Preserving Britain's Heritage \n \n If you are a hands-on supervisor who takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and enjoys working on historic and listed buildings, we would like to hear from you so please click 'APPLY' or call Gary at Time Recruitment to discuss further and in more detail.
