Role Statement: Provide technical support and trainings to customers and Sales for [insert LOB] products and solutionsProvide Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes and tendersDevelopment of technically and price competitive applications for Thermal products to fulfill customer requirements where standard products do not fitOrganize and host events to demonstrate Vertiv products and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledgeWork closely with consultants to understand their requirements and collaboratively develop effective solutionsKey Duties:Technical support: Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specificationsProvide sales and pre-sales support with technical support of product specifications and applicationsStandard product selection based on customer requirementsCoordinates with factory engineering departments for specific technical requests Special applications – Engineer-to-Order (ETO): Design new solutions where standard products do not fitEnsure solution is compliant with Design Verification Tests (DVT) and traditional certification Configure the ETO products in C1Define feasibility and costs of solutions/productsIntegration, coordination and support the internal pre-sales and/or external suppliersPrepare relevant technical documentsInternal support for project management team and salesPresentation/explanation of solution to sales organizationSupport Engineering and Manufacturing, and manage development of ETO product once customer order is receivedManage the relationship between Sales teams and the Line of BusinessAttend customer meetings with Sales manager as a technical expertCreate product and application presentations for customers and consultantsVisit consultants on a regular basis, owning the relationships and collaborate in developing effective solutions Provide technical trainings to sales teams and customersOrganise and host events and webcasts showcasing Vertiv products and technologiesSupport WT activities and factory visits when needed.Work with Product Management and Sales teams to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new productsConstantly monitor the market for trends and competitor activitiesSupport local quality management audits (e.g. ISO9001/14001)Support that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certificaJob Requirements – Qualifications and work experiencePrevious working experience: extensive experience in Thermal products and installation, especially for Data center or equivalentSolid experience matured in adjacent markets and in similar positionsLanguage skills: fluent English written and verbal required; second language of the in-scope group is nice-to-haveEcellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientationHigh focus on customer needsPractical experiences with Thermal productsExperience in quoting/proposing/installing/ managing projectsDisciplined, self-motivated and proactiveAble to combine long term and short-term goals by setting prioritiesOrganizational skills and familiar with a decentralized environment but at the same time able to work in a teamAbility to interact with all levels within the organization from entry level to executiveProficient in using C1 and Oracle Sales CloudExperience with AutoCAD or similar CAD systems Well informed on standards and contractual regulation issuesTime Travel Needed: 25%The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety, Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Diversity & Inclusion.OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIES Customer Focus Operational Excellence High-Performance Culture Innovation Financial StrengthOUR BEHAVIORS Own It Act With Urgency Foster a Customer-First Mindset Think Big and Execute Lead by Example Drive Continuous Improvement Learn and Seek Out DevelopmentVertiv is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
