We are seeking an experienced Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our team serving New York City, the outer boroughs, and parts of Nassau County. Responsibilities β’ Safely operate manual-transmission roll-off trucks to deliver and remove waste containers., β’ Load and unload containers using the truck's hydraulic systems and equipment., β’ Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations., β’ Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and service records., β’ Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and job site personnel to ensure timely service., β’ Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures., β’ Keep the vehicle clean and report any mechanical issues promptly. Qualifications β’ Minimum 5 years of verifiable roll-off truck driving experience., β’ Valid Class A or Class B CDL held for at least 2 years., β’ Demonstrated experience operating manual-transmission roll-off trucks., β’ Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and strong safety history., β’ Knowledge of hydraulic systems, heavy truck operation, and vehicle inspections., β’ Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Requirements β’ Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)., β’ Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public, understand traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete required reports., β’ Registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, or willing to register before employment., β’ Ability to pass all required DOT drug and alcohol screenings., β’ Willingness to work overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, in compliance with DOT Hours of Service regulations., β’ Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job, including operating roll-off equipment and climbing in and out of the truck throughout the workday.
