Job DescriptionJob Title: Food Production Sanitation TechnicianJob Description This role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe food production facility to ensure all equipment and production areas are ready for shift startup and compliant with company policies, procedures, and applicable governmental regulations. The position plays a key part in supporting food safety, production efficiency, and regulatory compliance by performing thorough cleaning and pre-operation inspections at the end of each shift. Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize equipment and production areas in the Lodi facility in accordance with established sanitation procedures, company policies, and governmental regulations., • Ensure all production areas are fully cleaned, organized, and ready for the next shift startup, with particular attention to food contact surfaces and high-traffic areas., • Perform detailed pre-operation inspections at the end of the shift to verify that equipment and production lines meet cleanliness and sanitation standards., • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety guidelines while performing all cleaning and sanitation tasks., • Use appropriate cleaning methods, tools, and sanitation chemicals as directed to wash, sanitize, and maintain production equipment and facility areas., • Identify and report any sanitation or safety issues, equipment concerns, or deviations from standards to the appropriate personnel., • Maintain accurate documentation as required for sanitation activities and pre-op inspections., • Work collaboratively with production staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and minimize disruption to operations., • Adhere to all workplace safety rules and procedures while performing janitorial and sanitation duties in a food production environment.Essential Skills, • Hands-on experience in food production sanitation within a food industry or food manufacturing environment., • Proficiency in cleaning, washing, and sanitation tasks specific to food production equipment and facility areas., • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and basic food safety principles., • Ability to follow detailed sanitation procedures, policies, and governmental regulations., • Capability to perform thorough pre-operation inspections to ensure production areas meet cleanliness standards., • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high sanitation and hygiene standards., • Reliability to work the 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM shift, Monday through Friday, in a production environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Background in janitorial work within industrial or production settings., • Experience working in a food production environment with established sanitation protocols., • Comfort working with cleaning agents and sanitation equipment in accordance with safety guidelines., • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete end-of-shift cleaning and inspections., • Strong communication skills to coordinate with production teams and report issues clearly.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lodi, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
