Job DescriptionTeletherapist – Mental HealthPosition Overview Wings of the Future is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled Teletherapist to join our growing behavioral health team. In this remote position, the Teletherapist will provide confidential virtual mental health services to individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. The ideal candidate is committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, client-centered care and can establish strong therapeutic relationships in a virtual environment. This position requires sound clinical judgment, timely documentation, professional accountability, and strict adherence to ethical, legal, and telehealth standards. Key Responsibilities • Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions through approved, HIPAA-compliant video platforms., • Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, risk assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and other clinical screenings within the clinician’s authorized scope of practice., • Develop individualized, measurable, and clinically appropriate treatment plans based on each client’s needs, strengths, symptoms, and goals., • Apply evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, family conflict, relationship concerns, stress, and other mental health conditions., • Establish and maintain professional therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy, trust, cultural humility, and appropriate boundaries., • Help clients increase self-awareness, develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and work toward established treatment goals., • Monitor client progress and update treatment plans, goals, diagnoses, and interventions as clinically appropriate., • Complete progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required documentation accurately and within established deadlines., • Assess clients for suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, abuse, neglect, domestic violence, substance use, and other safety concerns., • Follow organizational procedures for crisis intervention, safety planning, mandated reporting, emergency referrals, and continuity of care., • Coordinate care with supervisors, healthcare providers, case managers, schools, community agencies, and other authorized professionals when clinically appropriate and supported by proper consent., • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, telehealth regulations, state licensing requirements, payer standards, and professional codes of ethics., • Participate in required clinical supervision, case consultation, team meetings, documentation reviews, training, and quality-improvement activities., • Maintain professional liability coverage, continuing-education requirements, and all credentials required for the position., • Remain informed about developments in behavioral health, teletherapy, evidence-based treatment, ethics, and applicable laws and regulations.Required Qualifications, • Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution., • Current professional license or associate-level registration appropriate to the position, such as LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPC Associate, LMFT, LMFT Associate, LPCC, or an equivalent state-recognized credential., • Active license or registration in good standing in the state where clients will be physically located during services., • Associate-level or prelicensed clinicians must be eligible to practice under qualified clinical supervision in accordance with applicable state requirements., • Previous experience providing mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or related clinical services., • Knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, risk assessment, crisis response, confidentiality, and mandated-reporting requirements., • Ability to practice within the limits of the clinician’s education, training, license, registration, and assigned scope of practice., • Strong written and verbal communication, clinical judgment, time-management, and organizational skills., • Ability to establish rapport and maintain client engagement in a remote setting., • Proficiency with electronic health records, secure video platforms, email, and virtual communication systems., • Demonstrated commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, inclusive, and trauma-informed care., • Ability to work independently while remaining responsive to supervision, consultation, and organizational requirements., • Access to a private, secure, and professional workspace with reliable high-speed internet.Preferred Qualifications, • Previous teletherapy or remote behavioral health experience., • Experience working with culturally and socioeconomically diverse populations., • Training in one or more evidence-based approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, family systems, attachment-based interventions, or trauma-informed care., • Experience serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families., • Experience with trauma recovery, family conflict, reunification, substance use, court-involved services, or high-conflict family systems., • Familiarity with insurance documentation, medical-necessity requirements, utilization review, and clinical compliance standards., • Experience using electronic health record and practice-management systems., • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency, particularly Spanish, is highly valued.Working Conditions, • This is a remote position requiring services to be provided from a private, professional, and secure location., • The clinician must have dependable high-speed internet and equipment capable of supporting confidential video sessions., • All services must be provided through organization-approved, HIPAA-compliant systems., • Clinicians must verify each client’s physical location at the beginning of telehealth sessions and follow applicable state licensure and emergency-response requirements., • The position may require daytime, evening, or weekend availability based on client and program needs., • Therapists are expected to maintain reliable attendance, communicate schedule changes promptly, and complete clinical
