The Lead Experience Designer owns and drives design strategies across multiple product areas, responsible for ensuring industry-leading integrated (end-to-end experiences) for enterprise customers/colleagues, agnostic of channel. Depth & Scope: • Highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas, • Integrates knowledge of the enterprise sub-function's or business line's overarching strategy in developing solutions across multiple functions or operations, • Interprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services, • Leads cross-functional teams or projects with significant resource requirements, risk and / or complexity, • Independently manages end-to-end functional programs, • Solves or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions, • Takes day to day direction from Product Owner, Tech Leads and UX Design Lead within their platform/journey Education & Experience: • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience, • 7+ years of experience, preferably in digital design, interaction and visual design Preferred Qualifications: • Expertise in Figma, JIRA, confluence, sharepoint, • 5+ years of experience is preferred, • Proven track record of leading design teams, • Post-graduate degree in psychology, human factors, design, or related discipline preferred, • Proven competencies across the user experience lifecycle (e.g., user experience strategy, service design, visual design, user research)., • Ability to present and justify design decisions to senior leadership, • Experience in coordinating design resources across a large volume of intakes, and successfully prioritize Customer Accountabilities: • Leads the planning and development process of the Bank's digital interface design standards, usability guidelines, accessibility guidelines and development methodologies, • Works with marketing to ensure efforts result in web sites reflective of the Bank's branding and market positioning strategies, • Leads user-centered design methodologies to ensure ideas are accessible and based on customer needs, • Leads and directs the production of site maps, prototypes and the creation of graphics or icons for Bank's digital properties, • Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including product ideation and definition, user research, feature team scoping/planning, estimating effort, design, post-launch evaluation and stakeholder communication, • Works closely with the Tech Leads, Product Owners and product family to plan stages of digital feature implementation in the roadmap / release cycles and develop the best solutions for customers, • Leads and directs the development of design utilizing user-centered design principles, directing other designers or content development staff as assigned, while coordinating the effort of cross-functional teams, • Leads Human-Centered Design activities setting direction for designers in pods Shareholder Accountabilities: • Adheres to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to experience design activities for our business area, • Ensures respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities, • Consistently exercises discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalates issues where appropriate, • Ensures business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets), • Participates in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a experience design subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations, • Conducts internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience, • Conducts meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, makes recommendations, assesses the effectiveness of programs / policies / practices, • Monitors service, productivity and assesses efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exists, • Leads / facilitates and/or implements actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk / governance issues, • Actively manages relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensures alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements, • Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts, • Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite, • Protects the interests of the organization identifies and manages risks, and escalates non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary Employee/Team Accountabilities: • Mentors and enables others, • Defines best practices and teaches the craft;
