Job DescriptionJob Title: CDL Driver – Manual Transmission FlatbedJob Description This role involves operating a manual transmission cab and flatbed truck to complete regional deliveries, with a focus on routes that include mountain passes. You will manage loading and unloading of freight, ensure safe and timely deliveries to designated locations, and maintain a professional, customer-focused presence on the road. The position typically averages around 50 hours per week and includes overnight travel approximately two nights per week. Responsibilities • Operate a manual transmission cab and flatbed truck safely and efficiently on regional routes., • Drive regularly over mountain passes, adjusting driving techniques to account for weather, terrain, and road conditions., • Complete scheduled deliveries to locations including Missoula, Montana; Boise, Idaho; and Southern Oregon., • Load and unload flatbed freight safely, using appropriate tools, equipment, and securement methods., • Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly., • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle., • Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and any required documentation., • Provide courteous, customer-focused service at delivery locations, representing the company in a professional manner., • Communicate effectively with dispatch or operations staff regarding routes, schedules, and any delays or issues., • Ensure cargo is properly secured on the flatbed to prevent shifting or damage during transit.Essential Skills, • Valid Class A CDL with demonstrated experience driving manual transmission trucks., • Proven experience driving over mountain passes and handling varying road and weather conditions., • Hands-on experience operating cab and flatbed trucks for regional deliveries., • Ability to safely load and unload flatbed freight and secure cargo properly., • Strong focus on safety, compliance with regulations, and vehicle inspection practices., • Customer service–oriented approach when interacting with clients and site personnel., • Willingness and ability to work approximately 50 hours per week and be away from home an average of two nights per week.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with regional routes similar to Missoula, MT; Boise, ID; and Southern Oregon., • Comfort working independently on the road while maintaining consistent communication with dispatch., • Strong time management skills to meet delivery schedules and route expectations., • Ability to adapt to changing conditions, including weather and traffic, especially in mountainous areas.Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tacoma, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. full medical, dental, vision, and employer-paid basic life insurance, alongside a 401(k) retirement plan with a 50% company match up to 4%.
