Job DescriptionJob Title: Outbound AssociateJob Description The Outbound Associate, also known as a Personal Shopper, is tasked with picking and packing grocery items and other goods, scanning items for order completion, and ensuring that customer orders are well protected. No previous experience is required for this role. Responsibilities • Pick and pack grocery items and other goods., • Scan items to complete orders accurately., • Ensure the protection and quality of customer goods., • Maintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse., • Assist in housekeeping of the department., • Audit products for quality., • Support a team player mentality by assisting others when needed., • Adhere to safe food practices specific to the department.Essential Skills, • Counting and scanning items., • Experience in shipping and receiving., • Inventory management skills., • Comfortable working in cold environments (8 hours at 30 degrees Fahrenheit)., • Experience with fresh produce handling., • Customer service skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience as a receiver, stocker, or inventory personnel., • Familiarity with scanning equipment.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a state-of-the-art facility with exposure to freezing temperatures below -10 degrees Fahrenheit and refrigerators ranging from 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect to engage in activities such as standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching for 6-10 hours or more. Hand use includes single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals is required, and oil and slip-resistant shoes must be worn. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
