Job Summary: \n The Licensing Compliance Specialist is responsible for administering the company's licensing and registration programs across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance with applicable state and regulatory requirements. This role manages dealer, distributor, manufacturer, and sales representative licensing activities, coordinates regulatory filings, maintains licensing records, and partners with Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and Operations to ensure timely and accurate compliance with licensing obligations. The position serves as the primary liaison with state regulatory agencies and supports corporate compliance through proactive license administration and regulatory reporting. \n \n General Duties and Responsibilities: \n\n • Manage the company's distributor, manufacturer, dealer, and sales representative licensing programs across multiple states.\n, • Prepare, review, and submit new license applications, renewals, amendments, and other regulatory filings in accordance with applicable state requirements.\n, • Maintain a comprehensive licensing calendar that tracks application deadlines, license renewals, reporting requirements, bond expirations, insurance certificates, and regulatory fee payments.\n, • Monitor licensing deadlines and proactively coordinate with internal stakeholders to prevent license expirations or compliance deficiencies.\n, • Review licensing applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements prior to submission.\n, • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Sales, Human Resources, Operations, and other business functions to obtain required documentation, approvals, signatures, corporate records, insurance certificates, bonds, and licensing information.\n, • Serve as the primary point of contact with state Departments of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Motor Vehicle Divisions (MVD), dealer licensing agencies, and other regulatory authorities regarding licensing requirements and application status.\n, • Monitor pending applications and proactively follow up with regulatory agencies regarding deficiencies, requests for additional documentation, approvals, and license issuance.\n, • Maintain organized electronic and physical records of licenses, applications, correspondence, regulatory filings, payment confirmations, insurance certificates, bonds, and supporting documentation.\n, • Maintain licensing databases, tracking systems, and compliance records to support accurate reporting and regulatory audits.\n, • Prepare recurring status reports identifying upcoming deadlines, pending applications, licensing risks, and outstanding compliance activities.\n, • Coordinate notarization, certification, authentication, and execution of documents required for regulatory filings.\n, • Support annual reports, corporate registration updates, officer changes, registered agent filings, business address changes, and other regulatory compliance filings.\n, • Identify potential compliance risks, licensing issues, or regulatory delays and escalate concerns to Legal or Compliance leadership as appropriate.\n, • Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance initiatives related to corporate licensing activities.\n, • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and document retention standards.\n, • Perform other administrative and compliance-related duties as assigned.\n, • Other duties as assigned.\n\n \n Supervisory Responsibilities: \n\n • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\n \n Qualifications: \n\n • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Compliance, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in licensing administration, regulatory compliance, legal administration, or corporate governance.\n, • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in licensing administration, regulatory compliance, legal support, or corporate compliance, preferably in eMobility, consumer electronics, or powersports.\n, • Current Notary Public commission and ability to perform notarizations as required.\n, • Experience preparing and managing government license applications, renewals, and regulatory filings.\n, • Working knowledge of dealer licensing, manufacturer licensing, distributor licensing, or similar regulatory programs is preferred.\n, • Experience working with state regulatory agencies, licensing authorities, or government entities.\n, • Strong understanding of document management, regulatory recordkeeping, and compliance tracking.\n, • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.\n, • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and coordinate compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions.\n, • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with government agencies and internal stakeholders.\n, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and document management systems.\n, • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict regulatory deadlines.\n, • Strategic thinker with a high degree of ownership, execution capability, and a results-oriented approach.\n, • Experience working in a multinational company within an international team is a plus.\n, • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.\n\n \n Physical Demands: \n This position operates in a professional office environment and requires extended periods of sitting and working on a computer while reviewing legal and regulatory documents.
