Position: Packaging Lab InspectorAbout the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Lab Inspector to support our finishing operations and ensure products meet all quality and regulatory standards prior to release. This hands-on role involves laboratory processing, product inspection, documentation, equipment operation, and cross-functional support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Process and inspect raw materials and finished products according to established procedures., • Perform laboratory operations including extraction, filtration, clarification, dialysis, freeze drying, dilution, and compounding., • Set up, operate, monitor, and clean laboratory and production equipment such as centrifuges, freeze dryers, dialysis systems, and ball mills., • Prepare laboratory solutions and reagents with accurate measurements and proper documentation., • Maintain inventory records and complete SAP transactions, including material movements and production tracking., • Support aseptic processing activities while following strict contamination control procedures., • Assist with packaging and finishing functions, including label review and blistering operations., • Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation., • Follow all FDA, quality assurance, and company policies to ensure compliance., • Support warehouse activities and material handling as needed., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Required Qualifications, • Background in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field, or equivalent industry experience., • Ability to follow laboratory procedures and standard operating protocols., • Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biopharma, or production environment., • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills., • Ability to safely handle chemicals, reagents, and production materials., • Comfortable learning and operating laboratory equipment., • Ability to routinely lift 25-50 lbs throughout the workday., • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varying shifts when needed., • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist across departments.Preferred Qualifications, • Previous biopharma or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience., • At least 1 year of laboratory experience, especially for candidates without a college degree., • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments., • Familiarity with SAP and inventory/material transactions., • Understanding of quality systems, FDA regulations, and GMP documentation practices., • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.Work Environment This position is based within the Finishing Department, the final stage of production before products are released. The environment combines laboratory and production operations and requires adherence to strict quality and safety standards. Schedule: Approximately 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM with overtime opportunities available as business needs require. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of PORT WASHINGTON, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
